What is Get Bent Records ?

Get Bent is an independent music label focusing on the grass-roots development of artists who share in our do-it-yourself attitude, ethical philosophy, and penchant for high quality sound.

Why do MP3's suck?

MP3 is a "lossy" audio format, which means that the quality of the sound is sacrificed to make the file smaller. It boils down to quantity over quality. Try this test: Listen to a WAV or 'lossless' file in your i-buds, then the same song in MP3 format - most of us don't hear a difference at that level. But do the same test on a stereo through good speakers, or even in your car, and you'll hear the difference.

What is FLAC?

FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) is the fastest and most widely supported lossless audio codec (it is also open-source). It works similar to Zip, except with FLAC you get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio.
